The University of London is offering 150 scholarships for women of any nationality to study the Global MBA by distance learning.
The move celebrates the 150th anniversary of admitting women to higher education. The University of London was the first in Britain to do so.
The scholarships are worth 40% of the MBA course fee, and are available for the July 2018, October 2018 and January 2019 intakes while they last.
As we have seen recently, the gender pay gap affects women of all ages, races and education levels.
In UK organisations with over 250 employees, men currently hold over 60% of the top decision-making positions, contributing to an overall mean pay gap of 15%.
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) believes that supporting women into senior roles will boost global productivity and inclusiveness.
“We’ve simply got to get more women everywhere into managerial and leadership positions”, says CMI’s Chief Executive, Ann Francke.
Women are also under-represented on the Global MBA, which the scholarship seeks to address.
