Our links with top professional bodies gives you a wealth of resources and every opportunity to advance your career.
Chartered Management Institute (CMI)
As a Global MBA student, you have CMI membership for the duration of your registration.
The CMI hosts online and face-to-face events, and provides networking and mentoring opportunities for all members. Its community is over 120,000 strong, so represents a considerable resource for its members.
Chartered Manager status (CMgr)
If you have sufficient relevant work experience, you can apply to become a Chartered Manager, the most prestigious status available in the management profession.
- It recognises professional managerial competency and functional ability.
- It takes consistent high performers who are committed to current best practice and ethical standards to the next level of managerial awareness.
- It improves employability and makes you stand out from the competition.
CMI also offers a mentoring programme which provides practical support to managers at all levels of their career. Experienced managers and leaders share their knowledge and skills, helping others to develop their own business leadership attributes.
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
If you study any optional modules in accountancy, you also gain CIMA membership for the duration of your studies. Benefits include access to a wide range of online resources and specialised events in the UK and internationally.
Continuing Professional Development
With a number of free resources, the CIMA development scheme supports you in your career by helping you identify your future learning needs.
CIMA hosts webinars to provide support and advice on how to get ahead with your CPD needs and requirements.
The tools provided on the University’s Student Portal will help you to record your progress and development activities.
If you successfully complete the specialist MBA in Accountancy, you become eligible to sit the CIMA Master’s Gateway exam.
Equally, if you already hold a professional qualification with CIMA, you could receive exemptions from Global MBA modules through a process we call recognition of prior learning.
